La Roux's big beats, bright synths, perky, catchy electropop is set grace the NME's annual new talent showcase, the NME radar tour which will hit the road at the end of April.
Widely tipped as one to watch for the coming year La roux's live performances are becoming increasingly popular. Expected to be a performing at many of this summers festivals including V festival, oxygen and T in The park, LA Roux will warm this march on her own tour, followed by her stint as headliner of the NME radar tour.
LA Roux will be joined by other hot tips for 2009 Magistrates, Heartbreak and The Chapman Family on the 2009 NME Radar Tour.
La Roux is also on tour this month, kicking off at the Academy Glasgow, (March 14) continuing onto Manchester Academy (March 15), Academy Dublin (March 16), Bristol Academy (March 18), Guildhall Southampton (March 19), Dome Brighton (March 20), Norwich UEA (March 22), Birmingham Academy (March 23), Leeds Academy (March 24) finally the La Roux tour will come to a close with two nights at London's Sheppard's Bush Empire (March 27 & 28).
The NME radar tour begins at Nottingham Rescue Rooms (April 29), the tour will hit the road visiting Bristol Thekla (April 30), Wrexham Central Station (April 1), Oxford Zodiac (April 2) Manchester Academy 3 (April 6) Leeds Cockpit (April 7) Preston 53 Degrees (April 8) Glasgow King Tuts (April 10) Birmingham Academy 2 (April 13) Portsmouth Wedgwood Rooms (April 14) Stoke Sugarmill (April 17) Norwich Waterfront (April 18). Finally the NME Radar tour will come to a close at London's KOKO (April 19).
