Harry Redknapp says star players will not leave

Harry Redknapp has asserted that none of his Tottenham stars will be leaving the club, even if Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Gareth Bale and Luka Modric are the two players most heavily linked with a move away, after some impressive performances throughout the season.

Goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has previously spoken out about big players leaving the club in search of Champions League football, but Redknapp does not see it that way.

Redknapp said: "There's not a chance Spurs will be selling their best players. Even if we don't qualify for Europe next season, there's no need to sell anyone in the first-team squad and, importantly, no desire to sell anyone either.

"They've all got contracts. None are leaving. In fact we'll be looking to add to the quality here."
