McLaren have scored a 1-2 in each of the past two Formula One races, with Lewis Hamilton finishing ahead of teammate Jenson Button in both Canada and Turkey.
The European Grand Prix in Valencia, Spain also ought to be well suited to the McLaren car, and both Hamilton and Button should be confident. In the first practice session this morning it was Nico Rosberg of Mercedes who scored the fastest time, but the McLaren drivers were close behind. Hamilton was just 0.164 seconds behind Rosberg in second place, with Button a close third.
Following the race in Spain, F1 fans will get to see the newly designed Silverstone circuit for the first time at the British Grand Prix, between July 9th - 11th 2010.
British F1 Grand Prix tickets are available now, and though the track is believed to play more into the hands of the Red Bull cars of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber, Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Renault have all replicated their blown rear end and ought to be well in contention for the race in Donington in July.
