Green Day fans can expect four hour long shows

The frontman of Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong, has recently revealed that the upcoming shows for their UK tour could last up to four hours.


Green Day aim to emulate the length of Bruce Springsteen shows, with Billie Joe Armstrong telling Rolling Stone, "Wewant to give Springsteen a run for his money.I think his longest show is maybe five hours, I thinkGreenDay's got six!".


Green Day are touring the UK for the first time in four years in October this year after the recent release of Green Day's eighth studio album titled21st Century Breakdown.


Billie Joe Armstrong also admitted to feeling nervous about playing songs from new album 21st Century Breakdown for the first time during Green Day's recent intimate gigs near their home city of San Francisco.


The Green Day tour in the UK kicks off from October 19 at the GlasgowSECC and will also play two dates (October 23 & 24) at the London O2 Arena (October 23 & 24), two shows at the Birmingham LG Arena (October 27 & 28) and two nights at the Manchester Evening News Arena (October 30 & 31).
