As Liverpool desperately try to salvage a Champion's League place from what can only be described as a disappointing season, Rafa Benitez will bethrilled with the newsthat England right-back Glen Johnson hasresumed training and is nearing a comeback.
The Reds have been without Johnson since late December, leaving them short of options on the right-hand side of defence.
Unfortunately for Liverpool, this news coincides with the confirmation that Martin Skrtel will be out for up to eight weeks with a broken metatarsal suffered in the 3-1 win at Unirea last week.
With yet another defensive shake-up on the horizon for Rafa, it remains to be seen whether Liverpoolwill beable to push on for fourth spot in the Premier League. With Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa allaiming for the coveted final Champions League place as well, itlooks tobe a fascinating next few months in the Premier League.
