Germany coach Joachim Loew has extended his contract with the national team to 2014 despite claims that he would become Bayern Munich boss in the summer.
"I am delighted that we were able to agree early on continuing our work until the 2014World Cup," Loew said.
"Together with German Football Federation (DFB) chief Theo Zwanziger and general secretary Wolfgang Niersbach we believe that it makes sense to continue our successful path with the team in the same style."
