France coach to make changes after shock loss

France coach Marc Lievremont will ring the changes for Saturday's final Six Nations match with Wales, after accusing some players of betraying the French shirt in the 22-21 loss to Italy.

Forwards Sebastien Chabal, Sylvain Marconnet, and Jerome Thion; backs Clement Poitrenaud and Yannick Jauzion; and centre Aurelien Rougerie, who faces disciplinary proceedings, are all axed.

Flanker Alexandre Lapandry, prop Jerome Schuster, full-back Alexis Palisson, Fabrice Estebanez, centre David Marty and lock Pascal Pape will replace those who have been cut for the Wales match.

This match was an hallucination, Lievremont said of the Italy game. I do not want to clear myself from the blame but they invented things on the pitch.

"Do you really think that I told them to play as they did against Italy? I was ashamed."

Six Nations tickets for the remaining games are available now.
