Ron Dennis, the former McLaren F1 team principle, has been banned for driving for six months after accumulating 12 points on his license.
Dennis, 63, has been found guilty of a string of traffic offences, the latest being driving through a red light. Dennis claims it was to avoid a collision
Dennis told the Surrey Advertiser: "There were only two other cars around but I felt that it would be more prudent to continue rather than stop."
Dennis stood down as McLaren team principal in 2009 to take on an executive chairman role with his focus on the company's new McLaren MP4-12C supercar.
F1 Tickets are available now.
