Fernando Alonso says McLaren are 'better than they look'

Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has stated that he will not be fooled by McLaren's lack of pace in testing, as it does not reveal true race pace.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button have struggled with their new car, with pace and reliability being a problem.

However, Alonso expects them to come our fighting at the season opener in Melbourne and possible challenger for a win.

"They're better than they look," the Spaniard told El Pais, "Winter testing doesn't explain anything.
