Doves confirm Glastonbury slot

It has recently been confirmed that Doves will perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Doves have been asked to top the bill on the John Peel stage.
Other headline acts set to play the 2009 Glastonbury Festival include Blur and Bruce Springsteen.
Doves due to embark on their 2009 tour next month and tickets are still available to compare for all of the dates. The Doves tour kicks off at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on April 15. The Doves tour also visits Belfast Ulster Hall (April 19), Glasgow Barrowland (April 22), Manchester Academy (April 26) and O2 Academy Brixton (May 1 & 2). The Doves tour comes to a close on May 5 at Nottingham Rock City. Doves tickets are available to compare from £18.
Fellow Glastonbury headliners, Bruce Springsteen and Blur, will also be performing live in the UK this year.
Bruce Springsteen is lined up to headline the 2009 Hard Rock Calling festival at Hyde Park on the same weekend as Glastonbury (June 26 - 28). Tickets to see Bruce Springsteen in concert at the Hard Rock Calling event are available from £67.50.
Blur have also confirmed that they will be performing at Hyde Park this summer. Blur are set to play two shows on July 2 & 3 at Hyde Park and hundreds of tickets are still available. Before heading to Hyde Park, Blur are set to play the Manchester Evening News Arena on June 26. Blur tickets are available from £45.
