Doves and Jarvis Cocker added Glastonbury Festival line-up

It has recently been revealed that Jarvis Cocker, Doves and Echo And The Bunnymen will be three acts set to perform live in the John Peel Stage at the 2009 Glastonbury Festival.

Doves are up first. Doves will headline the John Peel stage on Friday 26 June. Jarvis Cocker will headline the tent on the Saturday (June 27), while Echo And The Bunnymen will bring things to a close on the Sunday night (June 28). Echo And The Bunnymen are planning to perform their 1984 album, Ocean Rain, in the John Peel stage at the 2009 Glastonbury Festival.

A number of top acts to have already been announced for the 2009 Glastonbury Festival include Blur, Bruce Springsteen, Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, Lily Allen and Neil Young.

A number of this year's Glastonbury Festival headliners are also performing live elsewhere in the UK this year.

Britpop legends, Blur, play a series of concerts this summers. Blur are set to perform at Southend Cliffs Pavilion on June 21 and Wolverhampton Civic Hall on June 24. Blur then play a huge show at Manchester Evening News Arena (June 26) before performing back -to-back concerts at London Hyde Park (July 2 & 3). Neil Young returns to the UK to play a series of solo shows this year. Neil Young visits Nottingham Trent FM Arena on June 23 before performing in concert at Aberdeen Exhibition Centre (June 24) and London Hyde Park (June 27). Neil Young tickets are available to compare at Tixdaq.com.

Franz Ferdinand are on tour this October. The 2009 Franz Ferdinand tour kicks off at Aberdeen Music Hall on October 11. Franz Ferdinand also visit Newcastle O2 Academy (15 Ocotber), Manchester Academy (17 Ocotber) and Brixton O2 Academy. Concert tickets are available for all of the shows on the October Franz Ferdinand tour.
