Dirty Dancer Wins Prestigious Ballet Award

This year's Spotlight Best Male Dancer Classical Award was presented to Harvey by the Critics' Circle in recognition of his contribution to classical ballet. Harvey saw off strong competition from his former colleague Eric Underwood of The Royal Ballet and from the English National Ballet's Esteban Berlanga to take the award. The award winning dancer said he was 'delighted and honoured to receive this prestigious award'.

Dirty Dancing - The Musical cast's Martin Harvey in the role of Johnny Castle originally made famous by Patrick Swayze in the 1987 feature film. Meanwhile Leanne Rowe has been cast in the female lead Frances 'Baby' Houseman.
