Dappy splits from long term partner

The N-Dubz rapper - who has sons Gino, two, and three-month-old Milo with long-term girlfriend Kaye Vassell - has revealed he is currently single, but sees his boys as often as possible and is already trying to instill a sense of responsibility in them.

He said: "My baby is good, but me and the mum split up. But I'm seeing the kids twice a week and I'm giving them the life I never had.

"I can't let them run riot so I'm making them know things and, like, do chores. Not chores exactly, but just showing them how to have respect."

Dappy - who separated briefly from Kaye last year amid allegations he had cheated on her - appears not to be too upset about the break-up, and has already lined up a date with someone else.

Asked about his short-term plans, he told Q magazine: "I've got a date. A beautiful lady from Liverpool that I'm going to take to a Chinese restaurant in London's West End. Now she is peng. Peng means fit, hot, sexy. Good-looking."

Dappy has also recently taught the Red Hot Chili Peppers the art of English slang.
