Scotland and Blackpool pass master Charlie Adam is excited at the prospect of representing his country in the friendly against Brazil this Sunday.
Adam said of the game, taking place at The Emirates stadium in North London, "It'll be a fantastic occasion and hopefully I'll get the opportunity to play. Brazil are one of the best teams in the world and they've got some of the best players. It's great that I've been picked for the squad and hopefully we'll get the right result".
Adam has put in some superb performances for Premier League newcomers Blackpool this season, prompting bids from Liverpool and Tottenham in the January transfer window. But Adam is keeping his feet firmly on the ground when it comes to playing for his country. "Every time I step out on the pitch for my country is a proud moment. As a kid you grow up and wonder if you'll get the opportunity to play for your country and I'm very fortunate that I've done it".
Ronaldinho and Robinho have been omitted from the Brazil squad that still includes AC Milan's Alexandre Pato and Chelsea defender David Luiz.
