Button and Hamilton vow Silverstone rivalry at British Grand Prix will be safe

Much was made of Red Bull team mates Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel colliding in Istanbul during the Turkish Grand Prix - a crash that ended the German driver's race. Shortly afterwards on the same circuit, Lewis Hamilton was overtaken by fellow McLaren driver Jenson Button, but regained the lead on Turn One the next lap.
Although 1996 World Champion Damon Hill has predicted the British Grand Prix is where Hamilton and Button's relationship will fall apart, this is the kind of rivalry that the two McLaren drivers envisage continuing - and their fierce competition between them has pushed each to perform to their best. Indeed, it could well be the reason that Hamilton and Button are first and second in the drivers' championship respectively - a mere six points between them.
British F1 Grand Prix tickets are on sale now, and weekend tickets to watch practice, qualification and the race are available from £130 from SeeTickets.
