US rock star Bryan Adams has confirmed that he is to become a father for the first time. The Summer of '69 singer and his long term girlfriend Alicia Grimaldi are expecting a child in May.
The Sunday Telegraph broke the news at the weekend and now the singer has expressed his delight at starting a family.
Adams told Et Canada, "Alicia Grimaldi and I are expecting a baby. She helped me start my foundation years ago and it looks like she'll be running the family now!
"Thanks for your support and kind messages, we appreciate it greatly."
Bryan Adams tickets are on sale now for his June 2011 headline show at Hampton Court.
