British Grand Prix at Silverstone could be fastest on F1 calendar

Practice for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone begins tomorrow, and there is a growing excitement that it could become the most exhilarating race in the Formula One Calendar. It has already become consensus that the adaptations made by Silverstone staff, including former world champion Damon Hill, have improved the circuit dramatically.
While the difficult Bridge corner has been cut out, more pleasingly the run to Luffield and Woodcote - the most pointless area of the track - has also been discarded. Silverstone now offers a more balanced circuit that rewards both cornering at speed and more technical driving, and could well turn out to be the most dramatic race of the season.
With Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull up against McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button - while Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa at Ferrari should never be written off - it promises to be a fiercely competitive race. This will be especially true if perennial dark horse Robert Kubica at Renault challenges, and Mercedes get their act together and provide Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher with the car their pedigree deserves.
British F1 Grand Prix tickets are on sale now, with weekend tickets from SeeTickets - providing access to practice, qualification and race day - available from £130.
