Britain's Got Talent star helps boost record sales

The star of last week's first Britain's Got Talent episode of 2011, Michael Collings, has helped boost record sales of 1988 record Fast Car by Tracy Chapman, the song he performed on the show.

Collings wowed the audience with his rendition of the track, and became the instant favourite to win this year's competition.

The song, which reached number five when it was first released, is now back in the iTunes chart at number 3.

A clip of Collings performing on the show has reached nearly half a million views on YouTube.

Britain's Got Talent tickets are now available for live arena shows set to take place this year, which will feature all of the finalists from the current series.
