Barcelona seek to avenge Sevilla defeat

Barcelona slumped to a shock home defeat in the first leg of their Copa Del Rey fifth round tie against Sevilla.
The Blaugranas rested nine players from team that started against Villareal in La Liga last weekend and it showed as they went down 2-1 against Manolo Jimenez's team.
With Real Madrid also out of the competition, the winner of this tie will be firm favourites to lift the trophy which is currently held- along with every other competition - by the Catalan giants.
Barcelona will have an immediate chance to redress the balance as the two teams meet again at Camp Nou for a league match on January 17th and it can be safely predicted that Pep Guardiola will select his strongest available side for that match.
Two consecutive league defeats - including a 2-1 reverse at Atletico Madrid last time out - have seen Sevilla slip out of the Champions League places and they will be keen to get their campaign back on track.
Barcelona still find themselves on top of the pile after Real Madrid missed out on the chance to claim top spot when they could only record a goalless draw against Osasuna.
Tickets for Barcelona v Sevilla are still available to compare and buy tixdaq.com with prices starting from £35.
