Guns n' Roses frontman Axl Rose plans to sue the makers of computer game 'Guitar Hero' for $20 million.
The Daily Breeze has reported that a judge confirmed the suit against Santa Monica based Activision will take place early next year
The use of Guns n' Roses song 'Welcome to the Jungle', and the use of former guitarist Slash as a playable character who can perform the song is the crux of the problem.
Simply put, the association between Slash and Guns N Roses ended almost 15 years ago. Rose resists any attempts to revive or strengthen this past association, the complaint says.
Activision has denied any wrongdoing.
Roses court papers described the contested song as a highly-renowned rock song of immense popularity regarded by fans and critics alike as one of the greatest hard rock songs of all time.
Concert tickets for all the biggest bands are available now.
