Many fans had their doubts about Martin Johnsons managerial ability, but Englands performance against the Pacific Islanders should help to quell their fears about his lack of experience. England put on an encouraging display as they triumphed against the Pacific Islanders in a convincing 39-13 win.
Other British sides did not fare so well. Scotland were trounced 32-6 by the mighty All Blacks and Wales were narrowly beaten by the Springboks. The Irish were also played over the weekend. They destroyed Canada by 55 points to nil in what was very much a one-sided affair.
All of the home nations are in action over the next 7 days and there are some exciting fixtures in the diary. England take on Australia whish will certainly be a much tougher test for Martin Johnson and his young side. Other matches include Wales vs. Canada , and Scotland vs. South Africa.
Tickets are still available to all of this weekends fixtures with prices starting at less than £50.
