Australian Open draw to take place this week

The draw for this year's Australian Open tennis competition will take place this Friday, 14th January, ahead of the competition's start on Monday. The first Grand Slam tournament of the year will begin on the 17th January, with the Ladies final scheduled to take place on 29th January and the Men's Final on the 30th January.

Australian Open tickets are on sale now, for any day of the first major tennis competition this year. Tickets for sessions at either the Rod Laver Arena, or Hisense Arena are both available.

British hopeful Andy Murray has been dealt a blow for the Australian Open 2011 by being seeded 5th, due to Robin Soderling's win at the Brisbane Open this week.
