Arcade Fire to debut short film

The trailer for the upcoming Arcade Fire short film, 'Scenes from the Suburbs', has been unveiled.

The fin, which was written by Spike Jonze alongside Arcade Fire members, Win and Will Butler, is an extension of Jonze's previously released music video for the band's single 'The Suburbs'.

Arcade Fire's front man, Win Butler, said "Its not a video. Its a short film...Its like a science-fiction B-movie companion piece for the record. Basically, we played Spike some music from the album and the first images that came to his mind had the same feeling as this idea for a science fiction film I had when I was younger."

The band are set to perform a number of UK shows this summer, with Arcade Fire tickets on sale now for their live performances at Hyde Park in London, Manchester MEN Arena and Edinburgh Castle.
