Arcade Fire played a surprise 45-minute show at Haitis Hotel Oloffson, located on the islands capital Port-Au-Prince on Tuesday night (March 29th), reports Rolling Stone Magazine.
The publication claims the Canadian-based band played a set consisting of four covers Creedence Clearwater Revivals Wholl Stop The Rain, The Rolling Stones The Last Time, Blondies The Tide Is High and Cyndi Laupers Girls Just Wanna Have Fun alongside a selection of their own favourites including Keep The Car Running and Power Out.
Arcade Fire have strong links to Haiti thanks to principal member Rgine Chassagne, whose parents emigrated from Haiti to Canada, and have been working hard to raise money for the Haitian Earthquake Relief initiative throughout their touring schedules of 2010 and 2011.
The band play Hyde Park this summer.
